Yoga with the wolf

OM YOGIS!

Glad to have you here!

In light of more hours at home and as an antidote to the media storm - I will begin to post a few practices based upon the classes I've been running. As Naive as they will be - Hopefully they will be of some service.
I've had fun and games trying to put these classes to word alone. To describe each posture in its entirety would detract I feel from the energy of each class. So before you begin it'd be a great idea to familiarise yourself with the main postures in each short sequence. Just to compensate for any errors of description on my part. I often goof the wording around the postures and am corrected by my beloved friends in class - missing your guidance guys!   ;))

Please use common sense when practising. Always working with the body that you have right now - not aspiring to the future - a body you would like to have - or the body that was once was. Be real. Be aware. Be kind.

Before you begin its beautiful to set a small but sacred space. light a candle. put your phone out the room. Open the window or dim the lights. Create a space that supports your practice .

Following is a yoga practice working with the animal magic of the wolf.

The Wolf helps us to access the Divine intelligence that is running through all things.
This divine intelligence is GURU. Guru is an energy that teaches us - as opposed to any one person. This energy runs through people, situations, nature, you name it. GURU is everywhere - we just need the eyes to see it and the heart to ask the question. What am I learning? What is this teaching me?

A good practice to look / move / stretch / Ask

Wolf yoga part one

This is an audio file - The tech works fine on my laptop but not on my phone (might need google drive app) If you have any problems accessing this I'm happy to send it via whatsapp for those of you that know me! Just get in touch xx

Wolf Part one can stand alone as a short practice but works best when followed with Wolf part two.
Wolf part two can be practised without part one - if you just want to relax.

Wolf yoga Part Two

Big gratitude to the teachings of
Alexis Cartwright
Nareena Gaia
Jo Tastula
and Krishna Das.
Who along with the Wolf have inspired the creation of this practice.

Please Note -
These Practices are recorded as rough drafts!
They are imperfect and need polishing... But I love them and feel they are worth a share!
Most of the asana practices on this blog are intended for the progression of an established practice of yoga. Over time I will try to add more stuff that is suitable for beginners. This will be clearly labelled as Suitable for beginners.
Its worth revisiting this blog if you are interested in this, as I will be adding more beginners practices to each session as time goes by.

Namaste beautiful's,

Love Julie.

Clarity

The eyes are the windows of the soul, But how often do we really clean these windows?

How often do we close our eyes and let them clear, opening them afresh to old problems - so that we can find new solutions?

Can we really look at things consistently with new eyes and clean vision? Of course! We were born to learn this.

Or are we stuck with old filters - dirty windows that distort and degrade the world in which we live? No way!

'We do not see the world as it is - we see the world as we are. 'Wise words. Read and re-read.

We have filters - personal pairs of broken cracked and worn out glasses - dirty windows  that cloud our eyes to what is real.

We don't always see each colour.

for example;

In fear - outside becomes a threat - we go into survival - the ability to respond aka responsibility becomes impossible - we react - from the lowest parts of the self - we tread on others to rise ourselves out .We shout at the world through dirty windows and broken glasses- we become a mad person.

MAD!

We can be manipulated and deceived by others yes - but more so by our own self. - We hijack our selves.  Fear tricks us! Our own karma is written and dictates. Our own filters. Our own muck. Becomes a stinky path to follow!

YUK!

We need to Clear the fear?

YES!

To do this, we must develop habits and practices that are clean and healthy. We must become spiritually clean.
We must clear our fear and our lower emotions,  before we can have clarity. Otherwise we are blind to what really IS.

We have to close our eyes and get still. We have to recognise what is inside of us - influencing us - that is NOT us. And allow that to clear.

How do we Clear it?  We FEEL it. I'm Afraid so!...... hmmm..Im afraid..so...

So  hold it in the light of our awareness - and that light reveals the dirt - so the suppressed emotions that created the mess can run through us efficiently, and clear quickly.

Then we can see with clarity.

We have to close our eyes and get still enough so we can hear our own messages - our own wisdom - our own voice. We have to make connection with the peace and wholeness of self.

Then we can act with clarity.

Dear ones we FEEL so we can heal. This is heart based consciousness. This is Sanity. This is clarity.

We can no more shut down the heart to think our way through.

The mind is exhausted overworked and frantic trying its best to find a solution in isolation behind dirty windows alone - in fear. The mind solves problems it quantifies and organises and it is doomed to failure without the help of heart.

So Take heart, be in wholeheartedness , have courage - this word and its implications being rooted in the heart.

Stay connected.  let the heart clean the windows so the mind can function in a healthy way.

May we all remember how to feel.
May we get still and find a path to the heart.
May our light refresh our eyes, ignite our soul.
May we see the world through the light that we are. And may we hold that light to guide others.
May we choose our light when all seems dark.

May we have clarity.

May the dragonfly colours surround you.
AND
May you see them!

Namaste.

Gnomes.

The body holds the being.
Its only right that the being hold the body in return.

Constantly, the body does its best. To hold, protect and love us right.
We can create patterns of love inside and out, to love the body back.
The being loves a pattern - something solid it can stick to.
May your patterns serve you well.

Remember to listen. Stay soft enough inside. Wrap the light of the awareness around the body regularly and keep that body warm.

When the mind decides whats possible the body becomes caged.
When the body intelligence is trusted, it can guide the self to freedom.

There is a Gnosis buried in the body. Truth and spiritual wisdom.
Dive dip - Dig in - Be nourished by the element of earth inside.

Theres much room within!
